In the spring, we'll post information on the 2012 Summer Reading Club
Watch the website homepage for announcements. And, don't forget, GPL Librarians will be visiting Guilderland's schools to generate some reading excitement!
Reader Registration
Reading registration will be able to be done at the library OR online via the "Summer Reading" box shown here or this link.

How the Reading portion of the club will work:
- Children of all ages and abilities are welcome.
- Readers can participate by reading books or listening to audio books, Playaways or by having someone read to them.
- Readers should record the books they have finished on their paper reading record or online at guilpl.org
- Readers then turn in reading records on or before mid-August 2012 to be eligible for fun and exciting prizes!
- The Summer Reading Club Grand Finale will take place in the Helderberg Room in late August. Reading certificates and prizes donated by generous patrons and local businesses will be distributed. Readers can watch a slide show displaying the highlights of this year’s summer reading in which they are the stars!. If readers can’t make it that day, they can pick up their reading certificate and prizes at a later date.
Program Registration
All PROGRAM registration must be done in person at the Guilderland Public Library.
- We will offer a variety of programs for children of all ages, abilities and interests.
- All programs that require registration will be marked with this symbol:
