About Baby Palooza...

Josalyn Gervasio Wilder, a Youth Services Librarian and organizer of this event, was recently awarded an American Libraries Association’s Books for Babies grant, which, with the help of the Friends of the Library, will allow us to distribute 200 Books for Babies kits to new parents at the Baby Palooza.  The Books for Babies kits contain a board book for babies, library card applications, and a variety of brochures with reading tips and early literacy information from nationally-recognized educational organizations. They also contain booklists created by our own Youth Services librarians.

The Guilderland Public Library is one of 20 libraries throughout the country to be awarded this year’s grant from Nordstrom Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association (ALA).
