Baby Palooza

Saturday, March 20, 11 am to 2 pm

Welcome to Baby Palooza!

Baby Palooza, our first-ever fair focused on the needs, wants, and comforts of new and soon-to-be parents, is going to be held on Saturday, March 20, from 11 am to 2 pm.

If you're a new parent, or will be soon, then Baby Palooza is the place for you!

Parents of newborns have many questions about their new roles. The library and several non-profit organizations will gather in the Helderberg Room to share demonstrations and information about services they can provide.

Who's going to be at Baby Palooza?

About Baby Palooza...

Josalyn Gervasio Wilder, a Youth Services Librarian and organizer of this event, was recently awarded an American Libraries Association’s Books for Babies grant, which, with the help of the Friends of the Library, will allow us to distribute 200 Books for Babies kits to new parents at the Baby Palooza.  The Books for Babies kits contain a board book for babies, library card applications, and a variety of brochures with reading tips and early literacy information from nationally-recognized educational organizations. They also contain booklists created by our own Youth Services librarians.

The Guilderland Public Library is one of 20 libraries throughout the country to be awarded this year’s grant from Nordstrom Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association (ALA).
