  • Request an item online from 29 local libraries, and pick it up at GPL. (Request items from our library and we’ll pull them and place them on the hold shelf to save you time.)
  • Get books and other materials from across the country through Interlibrary Loan.
  • Food and drinks are allowed! We also have a coffee machine and a snack machine.
  • Attend free concerts throughout the year.
  • Enjoy an art exhibit, including the annual elementary and high school art shows, in the Helderberg Room.
  • Learn CPR.
  • Donate blood.
  • Sign up for one-on-one computer coaching. Make an appointment to meet with a volunteer coach to work on basics or more advanced skills.
  • Relax in our outdoor literary garden.
  • Check out books and audiobooks in European languages (Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, German) and Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). Good for native speakers or those looking to learn/improve their language skills. We’ve also added books in Vietnamese; Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Urdu, Arabic, Persian; and Korean.
  • Visit a monthly book sale or find a gem in our “Book Nook,” our everyday used book store.
