You will need your library card each time you check items out. |
| What materials are available? |
Overdrive provides access to audiobooks, eBooks, and videos. eBooks are available in Adobe and Mobipocket formats. Audiobooks are available in WMA and MP3 formats. The audiobooks are split into parts for easier downloading and use. |
How long can I keep the materials? How do I return them? |
Items may be checked out for your choice of 7, 14, or 21 days, and you cannot return them early. After the items expire, Overdrive Media Console will delete the item from your computer. You will never be charged late fees for digital downloads! |
| How many items can I take out at once? |
You may check out 10 items at one time. Items may not be checked in before checkout time has expired. |
| Can I request or renew materials? |
If an item is checked out, you can place a hold on it. You cannot renew Overdrive items, but you can take them out more than once. |
| Will this service work with my computer? What about my iPod? |
Overdrive is compatible with Windows and Macintosh, although Mac users will not be able to use WMA files. The majority of items are iPod compatible. Many can also be burned to a CD. The icons next to each title will indicate its compatibility.

| How do I get started? |
To start using Overdrive, you will need a valid library card. You will also need to download the free software, Overdrive Media Console. Once you download a file to your computer, you can use the Overdrive Media Console to listen to the file on your computer, burn it to a CD, or transfer it to a portable device. |
| How do I check out materials? |
To check out a title, add it to your digital bookbag. When you have all the titles you want, go to “My Digital Bookbag” and click on “Proceed to Checkout.” You will be asked to confirm the checkout. Click the “Download” link to start the download. |
