May 21st: Jacopo della Quercia
As pseudonymous author, Jacopo della Quercia, local author Giacomo Calabria has penned two wonderful, alt-history titles:  License to Quill (2015), a spy thriller starring William Shakespeare; and the Great Abraham Lincoln Pocket Watch Conspiracy (2014), in which President Taft and Robert Todd Lincoln race to solve a mystery stretching back to the Civil War and the Lincoln assassination.  Author della Quercia “skillfully weaves together one of the best reads of the year as he combines ‘real’ history with his vivid and…off-beat imagination!”, writes a reviewer. The author, who believes in making history more accessible and exciting for readers of all ages, encourages students as well as teachers of History and English to attend!
