![]() Interlibrary Loan Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a way to request items not owned by a library in the Upper Hudson Library System (UHLS). Interlibrary loan requests will be honored if the patron’s home library is Guilderland, or if the patron’s home library does not offer out-of-system service. All other patrons requesting interlibrary loans will be referred to their home library. Copyright laws and lending institution policies and procedures take precedence over Guilderland’s guidelines. UHLS patrons in good standing may request items through interlibrary loan. Most requests are filled in 2 to 4 weeks. The library does not charge for this service; however, some lending institutions may impose fees. To proceed with a request, patrons must agree to any fee imposed by the lending library.
